The information below will help you and your student for the first day of school on August 17.

Enrollment

First things first. If you haven’t completed the returning student or new student enrollment for your student — do so now! The initial application for both can be found online at https://prioritycharterschools.org/priority-charter-schools/admissions/. Administrators at your child’s school can answer any specific questions you may have.

Calendars

Be sure to print an academic calendar and take note of the year’s student holidays, early release days, bad weather makeup days and reporting periods. And remember — attendance matters! Missing just two days a month means a child misses 10% of the school year. Start working on your plan now to make regular attendance the norm in your household.

Schedules

Being punctual is also important, so get a good night’s rest and set those alarms! Here is the bell schedule 2022-2023:

  • 7:30-7:55 am – Free breakfast for all students in the cafeteria
  • 8:00 am – Class begins
  • 3:45 pm – School dismissal

Parent Portal Access

Parent Portal access is where Priority Charter School families can see their child’s grades and attendance, as well as receive messages from teachers, view report cards, request notifications and set preferences. You may want to bookmark ASCENDER ParentPortal Login for easy access to this important site.

Bus Transportation

Cove Charter Academy and Temple Charter Academy will be providing bus transportation for morning pick up and afternoon drop off routes. You will need to submit an Transportation Request Application to the campus administration in order to register your child(ren) for bus transportation. A new application must be completed each year regardless of whether your child(ren) rode the bus last year. You can also view the Bus Rider Safety Handbook online.

School Meals

PCS will continue providing FREE breakfast and Lunch for all enrolled students for the 2022-2023 school year. We still request that all families submit a Free and Reduced School Meal Application for state record-keeping purposes. The 2022-2023 application will be available soon at www.myschoolapps.com. For more information about menu menus and payment options, visit www.prioritycharterschools.org/food-and-nutrition.

Afterschool Care

Check with your student’s campus to determine if they provide afterschool care on site. If they do not, inquire with campus administration of local alternative agencies that provide afterschool care.
